蘭州歌舞劇院是中國西部著名的藝術院團，成立于1973年。擁有一支具有全國領先水平的大型藝術創作和表演團隊。劇院先后與中國著名編導藝術家陳維亞、張繼剛、著名作曲家張千一、著名編劇趙大鳴、著名舞美藝術家高廣健、沙曉嵐、韓春啟等一流藝術家有過密切合作。 堅持“做西部文章，創全國一流”的藝術追求，蘭州歌舞劇院多年來創作演出了大型舞劇、舞蹈詩、組舞等10余部，大型文藝晚會30余臺，取得了很高的藝術成就。其中，大型舞劇《蘭花花》榮獲全國舞劇調演貢獻獎；大型文藝晚會《黃河的祝?！窐s獲甘肅省“敦煌文藝獎”；大型舞蹈詩《西出陽關》榮獲由文化部頒發的第七屆“文華”新劇目獎和中宣部頒發的“五個一工程”獎
2000年創作演出的《大夢敦煌》是一部敦煌題材的大型舞劇，該劇囊括了包括中國舞蹈荷花獎、國家舞臺藝術精品工程、“五個一工程”獎、建國60周年優秀保留劇目大獎等在內的全部舞臺藝術類國家級大獎。截止2020年10月，《大夢敦煌》已在中國31個省、市、自治區、特別行政區及海外10余個國家，累計演出1500余場，成為新世紀中國舞劇“多演出、多產出”的成功范例。 建院40多年來，蘭州歌舞劇院演出足跡遍布中國大陸各地，并先后赴美國、德國、俄羅斯、日本、意大利、澳大利亞、法國、奧地利、西班牙、葡萄牙、比利時、荷蘭、新加坡、馬來西亞、斯洛文尼亞、納米比亞、博茨瓦納、伊拉克、黎巴嫩等國和中國臺灣、中國香港特別行政區、中國澳門特別行政區巡回演出。風格鮮明的劇目和高水平的藝術展現，深受國內外觀眾歡迎。
Lanzhou Song and Dance Theatre was established in 1973. It has a large art creation and performance team with national leading level and has worked closely with Chinese famous choreographer Chen Weiya, Zhang Jigang; Chinese famous composer Zhang Qianyi, Chinese famous screenwriter Zhao Daming and Chinese famous scenographer Gao Guangjian, Sha Xiaolan, Han Chunqi, etc..
Insisting on the principle of exploring the rich culture of Chinese western area, and create national first-class arts groups, Lanzhou Song and Dance Theatre has made very high achievement in art, stage performance, and other fields. It has created and performed more than 10 large-scale dance dramas, dance poems and other dances, and more than 30 large-scale variety shows over the years. Among them, the large-scale dance drama The Orchid Flower has won the National dance drama Contribution Award; the large-scale evening gala show The Blessing of the Yellow River has won the Dunhuang Literature and Art Prize; And another dance drama Yangguan Pass Westward awarded with the 7th Wen Hua New Theater Prize by China Ministry of Culture and the Five-One Project Publications Prize by the Propaganda Department of the Central Committee of the CPC.
Tales of the Silk Road was created in 2000. It is a large-scale dance drama of Dunhuang subject. This dance drama won all the state-level grand awards of stage art, including the China Lotus Awards, the national outstanding stage art project, the Five-One Project Publications Prize, the 60th anniversary outstanding repertoire Awards, etc.. By Oct. 2020, the Tales of the Silk Road was performed more than 1500 times in 31 different cities in China and also more than 10 countries overseas. It has become a successful example of “more performance, more outputs” for Chinese dance drama in the new century.
During the 40 years of its establishment, Lanzhou Song and Dance Theater has been performing all over the Chinese mainland, and also in America, Germany, Russia, Japan, Italy, Australia, France, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands, Slovenia, Namibia, Botswana, Iraq, Lebanon, as well as Taiwan, Hong Kong SAR China and Macao SAR China. Because of its distinctive style and high-level artistic expression, Lanzhou Song and Dance Theater has become very popular among the people all over the world.
